Be a Library Superhero

We are entering week three of the Summer Reading Program!  Next Friday, we’ll be starting our Weekly Drawings for various $25 gift cards, so make sure to get your raffle tickets in ASAP!  If you haven’t signed up, come on in and register at either the Teen or Adult Reference desks and you can earn prizes for reading!  The program goes until July 31st, so you still have plenty of time to get some reading in 🙂

Now, I know you must be asking yourself,

“What else is there to do at the library?”

And that’s a great question!  A few things:

1.  In addition to the Summer Reading Programs, we have TONS of amazing superhero-themed programs for ALL AGES!  Check out our calendar here.

2. Super Lauren You can take a SUPERHERO SELFIE with our comic book photo-board and props right in the lobby!

3.  You can join the SUMMER HELP SQUAD by giving back some of your time to the community.  Stop by the Teen Space for open volunteer hours for anyone going into grades 7-12. Help out with behind-the-scenes programming, organizing, and everybody’s favorite: dusting. It might not always be glamorous work, but it is necessary and we could use all the help we can get!

4.  For superheroes-in-training, ages 11-14, you can learn some important life and safety skills at our Safe Sitter workshops on Saturday, June 20th or Monday, July 20th from 9:45am to 4:30pm.

Make sure to stay tuned throughout the summer for awesome updates!Superhero Bookdrops
